Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources
(LCMR) The function of the LCMR is to make funding recommendations to
the legislature for special natural resource projects. These projects help
maintain and enhance Minnesota's natural resources. Today's LCMR developed
from a program initiated in 1963. Since that time, over $525 million has
been appropriated to approximately 1,214 projects recommended by LCMR to
protect and enhance Minnesota's natural resources.

Environmental Fund The fund consists of 17 member organizations
(including the Izaak Walton League, Minnesota Division) who work to make
our communities better places to live. Funding is provided to state environmental
organizations through pledges and donations from the community.

Center of Environmental Advocacy (MCEA) For almost 30 years MCEA has
used law, science and research to protect Minnesota's natural resources,
wildlife and public health. They advocate for positive environmental change
and protection in the areas of water quality, land use and transportation,
wildlife and natural resources, public health and energy. Minnesota
Lakes Association is dedicated to protecting, preserving
and enhancing Minnesota's lakes. This site will also direct you to the Association's
quarterly newsletter, The Reporter.
