Sub-committee (Detroit Lakes Community Strategies Committee) aimed at promoting sustainable practices in Detroit Lakes and Becker County
Community projects relating to environment such as development, ATV/OHV issues, wetlands preservation, agricultural issues, etc.
Wood duck box and bluebird house projects
Take a Kid Fishing day
Joint educational programs with local birding club
Develop the Sucker Creek City Park in Detroit Lakes
Hunter Ethics program
Spring "Potluck" supper and trap shoot
Work with the Becker County Forestry Advisory Council which formulates county policy on county forestland
Hamden Slough National Wildlife Refuge Task Force

Environmental education program involving "touch and see items" for grade schools
Establishment of the Tamarac Interpretive Association at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge
Development of the North Country Hiking Trail System that will be coming through Becker County
