ACTIVITIES:

• Securing easements for public use
• Watch Army Corps of Engineers activities on the Mississippi River
• Active with the Cannon River Watershed Partnership
• Memorial gifts to local environmental learning center
• Passed resolution to close fishing during the walleye spawning season on the Mississippi
• With the Red Wing Wildlife League, host a Conservation Day with local 3rd graders at chapter house, showing children fishing and nature observation techniques
• Work with Red Wing school district and the Minnesota Land Trust
• Sponsoring “Save the Bluffs”, a citizen coalition against frac-sand mining in Goodhue Co.
